Jesica Austria leads Talent and People at Hamdan AlShamsi Lawyers and Legal Consultants LLC (HAS Law Firm), a UAE-based legal services firm operating across UAE. Her remit spans recruitment, employee relations, performance management, people development, and policy implementation, with a strong focus on building a culture where employees feel supported, challenged, and set up to grow.

Jesica graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, majoring in Pure Mathematics. Her career began outside HR, starting as an Account Executive in the insurance industry in the Philippines before relocating to Hong Kong. In 2017, she moved to the UAE and joined HAS Law Firm as a Receptionist — growing within the organisation to her current role through hands-on experience, trust, and continuous development.

Jesica is proud to have helped lead the firm’s cultural evolution from a traditional “family culture” to a High-Performance Sports Team (HPST) model, anchored in 10 Attributes and four core virtues: Humble, Hungry, Smart, and Skills & Mastery. She is a firm believer that internal discipline and culture are what ultimately shape the client experience.
